He joined CSIR-CEERI, Pilani in Jan 1976 and retired in Nov 2015 as Chief Scientist. Post-retirement, I was Emeritus Scientist & Professor at AcSIR, working on THz devices until Nov 2018. I hold an MSc in Physics and a Ph.D. in Engineering. I’ve received numerous awards, held senior positions in several professional societies, and published over 300 research papers. My current research focuses on high-power THz devices for communication and imaging. Senior member of CSI, IPA, IVS, PSI, and Life fellow of IETE and VEDA Society; also was senior member of IEEE (USA) and IEE (UK) in past; Awarded Honorary Fellowship of Society for Education & Research Development, New Delhi; Organized Indo-UK seminar in 2014, on THz vacuum microelectronic devices financially supported by Royal Society, UK, and DST-India.
