Shivakumar Bagi is a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience and is currently the Director of Engineering at Hutech Labs. In this role, he leads the development of tech-first solutions across multiple industries, demonstrating expertise in leadership, technology, and strategic decision-making.

Previously, as VP of Engineering at MAX, a tech-driven mobility startup in Africa, Shivakumar oversaw operations in Nigeria, Cameroon, and Ghana. He enhanced fleet management and security by integrating IoT technologies such as GPS tracking, fuel sensors, battery monitoring, and RFID. This led to optimized fleet operations and improved collections.

At ONE Championship, a leading sports media company, he was the Associate Director, responsible for developing web and mobile products for live and VOD media content. His work included platform initiatives and experimenting with on-body IoT devices for real-time scoring in martial arts.

As Senior Engineering Manager at BlackBuck, India’s largest trucking company, Shivakumar played a significant role in its growth to unicorn status. He managed Commerce Categories, Telematics, and Infra Platform, contributing to the company’s dominant market share in India’s commercial trucking.

His tenure at Samsung R&D Institute India included contributions to wireless technologies for Galaxy series devices, focusing on Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC. He holds a patent for the IoT of BLE devices and has published two papers in BLE.

At Hutech Labs, Shivakumar has been instrumental in combining IoT, AI, and ERP, delivering solutions across various industries. This includes innovations in vehicle subscriptions with fleet management, port, and warehouse operations, and an integrated hotel and resort experience, using technologies like GPS trackers, RFID, and custom hardware.
