Deva advises companies on strategy and innovation related to IoT and AI technologies. In particular, he has been focusing on use cases in GPS, water efficiency, building energy efficiency, drone-based solar farm monitoring and video surveillance. In the past, Deva founded and led two tech companies that were later acquired. He also led IBM’s Smarter Energy research group, which was spun off and acquired. He holds 21 US patents and has published over 50 papers with an h-index of 24. His international experience includes leading research and commercialisation initiatives. Deva earned an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Laboratory and a BS from Bharathiar University.
